Kanye West ist heißester Grammy-Anwärter

Rapper Kanye West wurde am Mittwoch Abend in Los Angeles in gleich sieben Kategorien für den begehrten Musik-Preis nominiert.

Unter den Nominierungen sind die Kategorien 'Bester Titel' und 'Bester Rap-Song'. Auch Sängerin Adele, die sich zurzeit von einer Operation an den Stimmbändern erholt, könnte bei der Verleihung der 54. Grammy Awards, die am 12. Februar im Staples Center stattfindet, zu den Abräumern des Abends gehören. Sie wurde sechsmal nominiert und hat Aussichten darauf, die Trophäe unter anderem in den Kategorien 'Aufnahme des Jahres', 'Album des Jahres' und 'Song des Jahres' entgegenzunehmen. Auch die Foo Fighters und Sänger Bruno Mars können auf sechs Awards hoffen.

Die Sängerin Nicki Minaj, Mumford & Sons, Radiohead, Rihanna und Bon Iver gehen im Februar mit jeweils vier Nominierungen ins Rennen, Lady Gaga wurde in drei Kategorien nominiert. Sie eröffnete die gestrige Show, die im Nokia Theatre stattfand, mit einem ihrer Songs und trat zum Ende des Abends noch ein weiteres Mal auf die Bühne, um einen weiteren Hit zum Besten zu geben.
