Due to the climate crisis summers in Vienna get hotter each year. The city becomes an urban heat islands, where it doesn't cool down in the nights as concrete keeps the heat trapped. A lot of citizens struggle with the heat - it causes each year severe health- and sleeping problems. 766 people in 2018 died in Austria due to heatwaves.
