A type Douglas KC-10 transport aircraft of the Dutch air force is loaded with weapons at Airport Halle/Leipzig in Schkeuditz, Germany, 24 September 2014. This delivery of rocket-propelled grenades, rifles and ammunition marks the start of German weapons deliveries for the fight against terror group Islamic State (IS) in Iraq. The weapons are intended for the Kurdish Peshmerga armed forces of the Kurdistan regional Government in Northern Iraq. 10,000 Kurdish fighters will receive 70 million euros worth of weapons from the German armed forces.
