Two of the world's biggest cockroaches, from the species Macropanesthia rhinoceros which are both about 80mm (three inches) long and weigh about 35 grams, (1-1/4 ozs) are shown alongside a common cockroach (foreground) at the Queensland Museum December 10. The cockroach which is native to Queensland and was discovered by Queensland Museum curator Geoff Monteith has become the latest cute and cuddly pet sensation among schoolchildren in the state.
