Police investigation in Milna following deadly maritime accident in the Split Channel Police investigators conduct an inspection of a vessel in Milna, near Split, Croatia, on June 14, 2026, following a maritime accident that happened earlier today in the Split Channel between the islands of Brac and Solta. According to the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, a passenger catamaran collided with a French-flagged sailing yacht, which subsequently sank. Eight people were aboard the yacht three died, one remains missing, and four survivors were rescued and transported to Split University Hospital Centre, where they were reported to be out of life-threatening danger.
