"Breaking Bad" räumt bei den Emmy Awards ab

Die düstere Krimiserie "Breaking Bad" hat zum zweiten Mal in Folge den Emmy als beste Dramaserie bekommen. Die letzte Staffel der Reihe gewann am Montagabend (Ortszeit) den wichtigsten Fernsehpreis der Welt in seiner Königskategorie. Zuvor hatten bereits Bryan Cranston als Haupt-, Aaron Paul als Nebendarsteller und Anna Gunn als beste Nebendarstellerin Emmys für die gefeierte Serie gewonnen.

Insgesamt war "Breaking Bad" 16 Mal nominiert. Die Serie hatte auch vor einem Jahr die begehrte Trophäe gewonnen. (48) und Bryan Cranston (58) gewannen in Los Angeles die Emmys als beste Schauspielerin und bester Schauspieler in einer Dramaserie.

Margulies bekam den Preis für ihre Darstellung in  "The Good Wife" , Cranston für seine gefeierte Leistung in "Breaking Bad". Es ist sein vierter Emmy als "Walter White" in der Serie. Er dankte seiner Filmfrau Anna Gunn "für all die wunderbaren Szenen, vor allem die im Bett".

Dagegen hat Matthew McConaughey die Chance verpasst, Filmgeschichte zu schreiben: Er hätte der erste Schauspieler sein können, der ) als bester Hauptdarsteller gewinnt. Die Serie, die bei Kritikern und Fans gleichermaßen für Lobeshymnen für McConaughey und Partner Woody Harrelson sorgte, gewann fünf Trophäen.

Das im Vorfeld dank 19 Nominierungen die Emmys für beste Haupt- und Nebenrolle in einer TV-Miniserie.

"Sheldon" nimmt vierten Emmy mit

Neben Cranston hat auch seinen vierten Emmy gewonnen. Der 41-Jährige bekam den Fernsehpreis als bester Hauptdarsteller in einer Komödienserie verliehen.

Der Texaner wird für seine Darstellung des brillanten, aber weltfremden und arroganten Wissenschaftlers ("Meine Autobiografie wird den Titel "Gern geschehen, Menschheit" tragen.") Sheldon Cooper gefeiert. Beste Hauptdarstellerin wurde Julia Louis-Dreyfus ("Seinfeld") für "Veep" (Sky Atlantic HD). Darin spielt die 53-Jährige die Vizepräsidentin der USA.

Der Schauspieler eine Großmutter, deren lockerer Lebenswandel ihrer Tochter Sorgen bereitet.
