Die ersten Emmys sind vergeben!

Die Emmys gelten als die prestigeträchtigsten, renommiertesten und wichtigsten Fernsehpreise der internationalen TV-Branche. Weil die Auszeichnungen in einer schier unglaublichen Menge an Kategorien vergeben werden, ist die Verleihung der Primetime Emmys auf drei Abende aufgeteilt.

Vor dem Hauptevent (am 17. September) werden die Sieger sämtlicher Nebensparten an insgesamt zwei Abenden (9./10. September) ausgezeichnet. Am ersten davon durften sich beispielsweise James Corden (für sein "Carpool Karaoke Primetime Special"), Regisseurin Ava DuVernay (für ihre Netflix-Doku "13th") und Preishamster-Ikone Meryl Streep (als Erzählerin in "Five Came Back") über Emmys freuen.

Leah Remini wurde zudem für ihren Einsatz gegen Scientology geehrt, die Publikumslieblinge "Saturday Night Live" und "RuPaulk's Dragrace" wie gewohnt mit Preisen überhäuft und die Superbowl-Halftimeshow 2017 (mit Lady Gaga) für die beste Lichtregie ausgezeichnet.
